Writing Contests

I have the privilege of teaching an outstanding group of writers.  Therefore, I feel strongly that I should not be the only one reading your writing.  The following list of contests is provided so that you will know the requirements and deadlines for each contest and so that you will choose to enter several contests.  The poetry contests button also includes information on submitting short fiction.  The essay contests have bigger prizes and require from 150 - 1600 words.

bullet Since more than five students were published in the Creative Communication Anthology, A Celebration of Young Poets, Spring and Fall copies of this poetry anthology will be awarded to the school.
